About this specimen
Green mineral growth is scattered across a broad brown matrix, framed along the edge by pale, blade-like calcite crystals. The green areas have irregular angular outlines, contrasting with the translucent pinkish-gray calcite. A closer view reveals clusters of smaller green projections between the larger pale blades. Malachite and bornite are recorded with the calcite; the visible colors and growth outlines give the specimen interest without relying on a replacement-history interpretation.
