About this specimen
Three large, velvet-green botryoidal malachite balls, the biggest at the top, sitting on a plate of white quartz druse with a tan edge. They are known as large-crystal balls; the surfaces are matte and complete.
Congolese malachite balls on quartz at 46 g; a thumbnail with unusually large, well-separated balls. Avoid dust.
It measures 5.7 × 4.4 × 2.5 cm (2.24 × 1.73 × 0.98 in) and weighs 46 g (1.6 oz), a small cabinet-sized piece that displays well on a shelf or in a cabinet.
