About this specimen
Several violet fluorite peaks rise from a shallow white quartz plate. The largest colored form stands left of center, while smaller purple faces continue along the lower edge. Fine white crystals fill the spaces between them and extend into an irregular pale rim. The angled photograph reveals the height of the raised fluorite above its low supporting matrix, emphasizing the uneven distribution of purple across the elongated specimen. Dimensions: 7.2 × 2.8 × 3 cm / 72 × 28 × 30 mm / 2.83 × 1.10 × 1.18 inch. Estimated weight: 63 g / 2.22 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
