About this specimen

Two pale green fluorite crystals sit shoulder to shoulder at the crest of this Fujian piece, their faces broken into fine stepped terraces that catch the light in flat little flashes. They rest in a collar of colourless quartz points only a couple of millimetres long, and the whole group is carried on a matrix banded in black and chalk white — an unusually graphic base for a fluorite.

Fujian is known for exactly this glassy, faintly green fluorite and for the quartz druse that so often underlies it. The terraced faces record stop-start growth, each step marking a pause in the fluid that fed the crystal. At Mohs 4 the fluorite is markedly softer than the quartz beneath it, so it will pick up scratches from grit and careless shelving long before the matrix does.

Compact at 5.6 × 4.6 × 3.3 cm and 116 g, it displays best with the banded edge turned toward the viewer, and no stand is needed. The photographs record this exact piece, held in the hand for scale.

Frequently asked questions

Will I receive the exact specimen shown?

Yes. Every specimen is a single, one-of-a-kind piece, and the photographs show the exact item you will receive — never a stock photo.

Is this Fluorite natural?

Yes — specimens like this form naturally. As is standard in the trade, some pieces are gently cleaned or trimmed; we photograph the actual specimen and describe its origin and condition conservatively.

How is it packed and shipped?

Orders ship worldwide with fully insured, tracked delivery, carefully packed to protect fragile crystals. A display base is included.

Can I return it?

Yes — there is a 14-day return window.
