A single glass-clear fluorite cube — the barest hint of ice blue, edges stepped like cut crystal — balances on a rosette of olive-and-silver muscovite blades from Xuebaoding, Sichuan. Smaller fluorite crystals cluster at the mica’s base, completing a tidy thumbnail composition.
Xuebaoding’s colorless fluorite lives in the shadow of its famous scheelite and aquamarine, which keeps pieces like this affordable — but the transparency here equals far costlier material, and the mica pedestal displays it as if arranged by hand.
