About this specimen
Overlapping white calcite blades spread across a green-coated quartz form, creating a pale, petal-like surface on this Inner Mongolia specimen.
Broad, flattened calcite crystals overlap in loose fans along an irregular upright quartz form. The front is almost covered in pale blades, while the reverse exposes wider areas of a finely textured green surface. Four complete photographs show different sides of the same specimen, including the small crystals scattered across its greener back. The supplier identifies calcite with quartz and records Inner Mongolia as the locality. The green coating is described by colour only because its mineral identity is not established in the source. Irregular crystal edges and surface texture remain visible in the photographs.
