About this specimen

Honey-gold fluorite, transparent enough to read the far side through it, carries a frosted pale-lilac plate across its front face where etching has bitten square terraces into the crystal. The steps repeat at right angles, one square inside another, and a small hollow near the top opens like a keyhole. Behind and to the right a second, smaller cube shoulders into view, and the amber deepens toward that edge.

Beijing-area fluorite runs to this warm golden tone rather than the violets of Hunan, and the terraced surfaces are dissolution rather than damage — late fluids working on the crystal after growth had finished, following the cubic directions as they went. Fluorite (CaF2) is Mohs 4 with perfect octahedral cleavage, so edges chip if the piece is set down hard. Some fluorite answers to UV light; do not count on it here.

4.3 × 3.8 × 2.8 cm and 75 g, with no stand supplied. Photographed from the specimen in hand — this is the crystal you receive.

Will I receive the exact specimen shown?

Yes. Every specimen is a single, one-of-a-kind piece, and the photographs show the exact item you will receive — never a stock photo.

Is this Fluorite natural?

Yes — specimens like this form naturally. As is standard in the trade, some pieces are gently cleaned or trimmed; we photograph the actual specimen and describe its origin and condition conservatively.

How is it packed and shipped?

Orders ship worldwide with fully insured, tracked delivery, carefully packed to protect fragile crystals. A display base is included.

Can I return it?

Yes — there is a 14-day return window.
