이 바다빛 초록 샹화링 입방체를 정면으로 들여다보면 또 하나의 입방체가 마주 봅니다. 더 짙은 초록의 팬텀이 정중앙에 떠 있고, 그 모서리는 자신을 감싼 결정만큼이나 날카롭습니다. 수집가들은 이 효과를 "창문"이라고 부릅니다. 먼저 자란 완전한 결정이 나중에 자란 결정 안에 그대로 보존된 것으로, 바깥쪽 성장이 투명하게 유지된 덕분에만 보이는 모습입니다.
몇몇 모서리와 꼭짓점에는 황토색 철분 착색이 흐르는데, 이는 이 정동의 특징입니다. 결정면 자체는 유리처럼 매끄럽고 희미한 성장 계단이 남아 있습니다. 후난성 천저우에 있는 샹화링은 이렇게 겹친 입방체 모습을 유명하게 만든 산지입니다.
