Chabazite (Ca,Na)₂Al₂Si₄O₁₂·6H₂O is a calcium-sodium zeolite forming pseudo-cubic rhombohedral crystals in basalt cavities. Its name from Greek “chabazios” (a hailstone) describes its compact crystal habit. Wasson’s Bluff (Nova Scotia), Berufjordur (Iceland), and Irish basalts supply iconic collector specimens.
