About this specimen
Guizhou creedite at 4 cm; a miniature. Creedite crystals in amber gold cluster along the front of a brown matrix, the blades translucent and stained warm through their length with a paler crust behind them.
Creedite forms sprays and radiating clusters of slender prismatic crystals; the Qinglong material from Guizhou is the source collectors know best for the species.
Guizhou's Qinglong antimony-fluorite district is the classic source for creedite sprays and continues to produce zoned fluorite and calcite.
By size it is miniature, 4 × 3.4 × 1.9 cm (1.57 × 1.34 × 0.75 in). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
