About this specimen

Guizhou creedite at 6.1 cm; a small cabinet piece. A cream creedite crust covers the face of the piece, with rust-orange iron staining washing through the centre and darker matrix showing at the edges.

Creedite forms sprays and radiating clusters of slender prismatic crystals; the Qinglong material from Guizhou is the source collectors know best for the species.

Guizhou is the classic source for collector creedite and hosts important fluorite, calcite and copper-mineral localities around Qinglong.

By size it is small cabinet, 6.1 × 4.3 × 2 cm (2.40 × 1.69 × 0.79 in). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.

Delicate crystals: handle by the matrix only.

Every specimen here is photographed and catalogued individually before listing.
