About this specimen
Vivid blue azurite lines a deep cavity in a green malachite-bearing matrix from Anhui. Sparkling cobalt-blue crystals cover the inner walls, while bright green rounded growth traces the rim and outer surface. Two hand-held views show the dramatic hollow, saturated color contrast and compact sculptural outline of this individual specimen. The photographs document this exact specimen and its natural variation under the seller's lighting. Both angles inform the final description and scale review. Dimensions: 4.2 × 2.2 × 1.8 cm / 42 × 22 × 18 mm / 1.65 × 0.87 × 0.71 inch. Estimated weight: 15 g / 0.53 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
