About this specimen
Glassy violet-purple fluorite cubes, the largest at the top, sit within a mass of snow-white botryoidal aragonite balls that wrap around and between them, so purple and white alternate across the whole piece. Fluoresces under a UV torch, as the photos show.
Yunnan violet fluorite with white aragonite at 630 g is a striking cabinet piece; the two minerals interlock rather than sitting one on the other.
