About this specimen
Big, bright and heavy, this Brazilian display piece is cut as a broad polished point, and just below its tip sits a six-sided white phantom pyramid. The phantom looks like fresh snow on a peak, a fine white powder dotted with peach-orange and grey-green specks.
Beneath it a second phantom layer echoes the shape, and the rest of the quartz is clear and transparent down to the rough natural base. A small rainbow appears in one lower face. With this much size and clarity, the piece holds its own as a single focal point on a sideboard or in a cabinet.
