About this specimen
Several minerals share this Brazilian specimen. A glossy skeletal clear quartz point carries a bold, deep green tourmaline crystal on its side, striated along its length and glowing bottle-green when backlit, with blue tourmaline associated as well. Around the base sit lilac lepidolite (purple mica) and clusters of yellow mica, some in rounded, bead-like groups.
The quartz itself has glossy faces etched with fine skeletal patterning and a clear, bright body, with a few smaller terminations alongside the main point. It is a rich, colourful mineral specimen for a cabinet or collector's shelf.
