About this specimen
Broad violet fluorite blocks overlap into a low crystal group. Darker purple centers contrast with pale rims, and fine repeated lines trace portions of the outer faces. A smaller projecting crystal interrupts the lower front. The close photograph emphasizes the layered surface texture and the differences in color depth between adjoining blocks, while the wider view shows the group's broad outline and irregularly stepped upper edge against the pale photographic background. Dimensions: 5.8 × 2.7 × 4.1 cm / 58 × 27 × 41 mm / 2.28 × 1.06 × 1.61 inch. Estimated weight: 67 g / 2.36 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
