About this specimen
Clear fluorite faces and warm honey-colored areas stand out against a darker crystalline matrix. This Yaogangxian association also includes scheelite, arsenopyrite, dolomite, pyrite and hubnerite, bringing several contrasting textures into a compact piece. The ordinary-light image reveals the clear edges and pale surface patches, while a supplied ultraviolet view emphasizes blue-violet areas. Compare the two lighting conditions to distinguish the specimen's everyday appearance from its photographed ultraviolet response and the surrounding darker mineral growth. Dimensions: 2.7 × 2 × 2.8 cm / 27 × 20 × 28 mm / 1.06 × 0.79 × 1.10 inch. Estimated weight: 16 g / 0.56 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
