About this specimen
This clear Brazilian quartz sphere is scattered with small flakes of mica, some dark and almost black, others with a greenish tint, floating at different depths like leaves in still water. White feather veils fan up from the lower edge, and on one side a broad sheet shimmers with a soft, mother-of-pearl rainbow.
Between the inclusions the quartz is wonderfully clear. It is polished, a compact sphere with lots of small details to discover, and a nice choice for anyone who enjoys mica in quartz.
