About this specimen

Colour is the whole argument for this small Yaogangxian piece. Under the glassy surfaces the fluorite runs from near-black indigo through royal violet to a cold steel-blue along the upper edge, the zones sharply bounded and set at angles to one another, so that turning the specimen a few degrees changes which one dominates. White calcite covers the left third in overlapping blades, opaque and faintly pearly against all that transparency.

Those flat, mirror-bright planes are cleavage rather than grown crystal faces — fluorite parts perfectly along four octahedral directions, and vein-pocket material often shows more cleavage than face. It costs nothing in beauty, since the cleavages are exactly what let the eye travel so far into the colour zoning, but it does mean the piece will not forgive a drop onto a hard surface.

It measures 4.8 × 3.0 × 2.5 cm and weighs 60 g, with a little dark grey matrix clinging along the base. The images belong to this piece and no other.

Frequently asked questions

Will I receive the exact specimen shown?

Yes. Every specimen is a single, one-of-a-kind piece, and the photographs show the exact item you will receive — never a stock photo.

Is this Fluorite natural?

Yes — specimens like this form naturally. As is standard in the trade, some pieces are gently cleaned or trimmed; we photograph the actual specimen and describe its origin and condition conservatively.

How is it packed and shipped?

Orders ship worldwide with fully insured, tracked delivery, carefully packed to protect fragile crystals. A display base is included.

Can I return it?

Yes — there is a 14-day return window.
