About this specimen

Dimensions: 4.5 × 1.5 × 4.5 cm (1.77 × 0.59 × 1.77 in); longest edge 45 mm (1.77 in).

Closely arranged purple spheres form a broad grape agate face with an uneven branching upper edge. Aggregate sizes vary from small pale rounds near the tips to larger violet growths through the middle. A few gray-green or lighter areas interrupt the otherwise predominantly purple surface.

Dark narrow gaps remain between neighboring spheres, preserving their individual outlines. The broad face is densely filled with rounded growths. This Indonesian specimen is characterized by its crowded rounded growth, mixed sphere sizes and short projections along the top.

Locality: Indonesia. Weight: 30 g (1.06 oz).

Weight and dimensions refer to the specimen alone, excluding the display base. Any display base shown with the specimen is included.

The specimen pictured is the individual piece offered.
