About this specimen
An oddly shaped, complete-all-round quartz floater in pale lilac, with several small green epidote sprays trapped inside the crystal like specks of moss in ice. The odd form, with prisms growing out at angles, is what is meant by 'unusual-shaped'.
Epidote-included quartz from Sichuan is usually clear; the faint lilac body colour here is unusual and the piece needs no base to stand. A miniature with a lot to look at under a loupe.
At 4.6 × 3.6 × 2.8 cm (1.81 × 1.42 × 1.10 in) and 27 g (0.9 oz) it is a miniature specimen that fits a miniature cabinet or a desk display. What you see in the photos is the piece you receive; any known repair, mount or treatment is disclosed above.
