About this specimen

A pale straw-yellow fluorite has grown into an almost perfect ball on this piece, seated in a hollow of bright metallic matrix that reads like crushed foil under the light. Nothing here was turned on a wheel: the rounded surface is made of dozens of small crystal faces packed shoulder to shoulder, and a second, smaller group of the same pale material sits just to its right.

Ball-form fluorite arises when many small crystals nucleate across a curved surface and grow outward together, giving something that looks like a sphere but is really a mosaic. The Inner Mongolian pockets that produce it set it against the iron-bearing metallic rock seen here, and that contrast — soft yellow against mirror-grey — is what carries the specimen.

3.6 × 1.8 × 2.8 cm and 30 g, heavy for its size because of the dense matrix. Fingers appear in the photographs only for scale; the specimen pictured is the one that ships.

Frequently asked questions

Will I receive the exact specimen shown?

Yes. Every specimen is a single, one-of-a-kind piece, and the photographs show the exact item you will receive — never a stock photo.

Is this Fluorite natural?

Yes — specimens like this form naturally. As is standard in the trade, some pieces are gently cleaned or trimmed; we photograph the actual specimen and describe its origin and condition conservatively.

How is it packed and shipped?

Orders ship worldwide with fully insured, tracked delivery, carefully packed to protect fragile crystals. A display base is included.

Can I return it?

Yes — there is a 14-day return window.
