About this specimen
Curved pale growth wraps around a hollow near the front of this Yunnan specimen, with bright blue veszelyite scattered across the folds. The hemimorphite association has a layered, almost shell-like outline, contrasting with the rougher brown matrix below. Quartz and calcite are also recorded. A second angle reveals the depth of the central opening and a more uneven upper ridge, showing why this piece benefits from more than one display view. Dimensions: 3.5 × 2.6 × 2.4 cm / 35 × 26 × 24 mm / 1.38 × 1.02 × 0.94 inch. Estimated weight: 20 g / 0.71 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
