About this specimen
A dense apophyllite druse from Inner Mongolia forms a pale, sparkling mound on a small matrix. Hundreds of short translucent crystals point outward across the rounded face, with brighter glassy terminations along the upper rim and softer white growth in the center. The reverse view shows the crystal coating continuing around the compact base. Its frosted surface and even coverage create a clean wintry texture at miniature display scale. Dimensions: 3 × 3 cm / 30 × 30 mm / 1.18 × 1.18 inch. Estimated weight: 10 g / 0.35 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
