About this specimen
Sichuan garden quartz at 2.9 cm and 26 g; a miniature, priced with the tip disclosed. A stout quartz crystal with green chlorite phantoms inside, the garden quartz the supplier names; the supplier notes a slightly damaged tip.
The inclusions in garden quartz are frozen mid-growth, which is why every crystal reads as a small, unrepeatable scene.
Sichuan's alpine-type veins and skarns yield aquamarine, prehnite, epidote and scheelite of international quality.
Dimensions place it in the miniature range, 2.8 × 1.9 × 2.9 cm (1.10 × 0.75 × 1.14 in) and 26 g (0.9 oz). Disclosed condition: a slightly damaged tip. The price reflects it and the photographs show the affected area. Condition is otherwise as photographed.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
