About this specimen
Golden mica layers surround pale quartz and a prominent violet fluorite crystal in this Inner Mongolia miniature. The fluorite presents a dark purple octahedral-looking form near the lower front, while cream and honey-colored mica creates a finely stacked surface above it. Clear quartz points extend from the upper edge. The reverse view separates the main components more clearly and shows the narrow upright construction of this small but compositionally varied association. Dimensions: 1.7 × 1.3 × 3.2 cm / 17 × 13 × 32 mm / 0.67 × 0.51 × 1.26 inch. Estimated weight: 6 g / 0.21 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
