About this specimen
Dimensions: 4.6 × 2.7 × 3.0 cm (1.81 × 1.06 × 1.18 in); longest edge 46 mm (1.81 in).
Translucent, lime-tinted quartz points fan upward from a dense bed of dark green epidote in this cluster from Sichuan. The epidote forms a sugary, almost moss-like layer between the crystals, with a few small rust-brown accents near the base. Several of the quartz points are cleanly terminated and catch the light from different angles as the piece turns.
