About this specimen
Brown grossular dodecahedra rise among clear and smoky quartz crystals from Inner Mongolia. One broad garnet occupies the center, showing fine surface texture across its geometric faces, while a smaller dark crystal sits higher on the group. Pale quartz points frame the garnets from several directions. The second view reveals the upright association's depth and the way the contrasting crystals meet along a narrow matrix base. Dimensions: 2 × 1.7 × 3.5 cm / 20 × 17 × 35 mm / 0.79 × 0.67 × 1.38 inch. Estimated weight: 12 g / 0.42 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
