About this specimen
A fan of clear interference quartz points rises from brown grossular matrix with green actinolite inclusions from Inner Mongolia. Multiple prisms overlap tightly, creating repeating terminations and a frosted white center. Dark green material is visible through the lower crystals and along the base, while warm brown garnet forms the supporting rock beneath. The alternate view shows the dense radiating growth and the quartz's transparent-looking edges. Dimensions: 3.5 × 2 × 2.7 cm / 35 × 20 × 27 mm / 1.38 × 0.79 × 1.06 inch. Estimated weight: 25 g / 0.88 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
