A group of frosted, translucent hexagonal calcite crystals, each with a pale sandwich layer inside, growing beside a large champagne-coloured apophyllite crystal with a pearly cleavage face. Green chlorite dusts the base.
Fujian sandwich calcite with champagne apophyllite, two species not often seen together. The photos show its response under UV. A miniature that stands flat.
