About this specimen
Large violet octahedral fluorite crystals form a broad low cluster with quartz from Fujian. Sharp edges and secondary growth divide the main faces into smaller reflective planes, producing flashes of color as the angle changes. Pale fine-grained crystals coat portions of the matrix around the fluorite. The reverse view reveals additional octahedral forms and the specimen's layered depth, with saturated purple concentrated through the center.
