About this specimen
A single translucent, pale yellow cerussite crystal with an adamantine sparkle sits at the top corner of a block of dark, lead-grey galena matrix with tan and white veining. The crystal measures about 1.3 cm. The photos show its response under UV.
Guangxi cerussite on its parent galena is a textbook lead-oxidation pairing; a 29 g thumbnail. Lead minerals: wash hands after handling.
