A compact group of olive-green grossular garnet crystals, several showing complete dodecahedral faces, with small white calcite crystals at the base and a blue-grey mineral film in the gaps. The garnets have a soft, waxy lustre.
A small cabinet piece of Inner Mongolia grossular in the khaki-green tone typical of the locality; the crystal faces are crisp and the piece stands upright.
