About this specimen
Clear prismatic calcite crystals stand across a dark goethite and pyrite matrix from Hubei. The largest calcite points occupy the upper corners, while smaller white hexagonal terminations repeat across the surface. Brown-black rounded goethite creates much of the base and small metallic pyrite details appear between it. The reverse view reveals additional calcite crystals and the specimen's broad textured matrix. Dimensions: 3.7 × 3 × 2.8 cm / 37 × 30 × 28 mm / 1.46 × 1.18 × 1.10 inch.
