About this specimen
Small octahedral fluorite crystals with violet centers sit across pale quartz and calcite from Fujian. Bronze-colored pyrite glints between them, especially along the darker lower half. The close photograph shows transparent-looking fluorite edges surrounding concentrated purple cores, while scattered pale crystals add a finer texture around the geometric forms. Its shallow plate-like profile keeps the varied colors visible across one broad face. Dimensions: 3.6 × 1.5 × 2.7 cm / 36 × 15 × 27 mm / 1.42 × 0.59 × 1.06 inch. Estimated weight: 15 g / 0.53 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
