About this specimen
Broad purple triangular faces meet pale green growth along the edges of this compact fluorite specimen. The darker violet centers provide a strong contrast with the lighter outer surfaces, making the intersecting crystal geometry easy to follow. One view shows a wide, almost horizontal outline; the other brings a projecting corner into focus. Fine surface markings and several small steps add texture without obscuring the larger purple faces. Dimensions: 5.1 × 2.2 × 3.1 cm / 51 × 22 × 31 mm / 2.01 × 0.87 × 1.22 inch. Estimated weight: 36 g / 1.27 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
