Fujian frosted purple-green fluorite at 132 g; a small cabinet piece with a velvety texture.
Fluorite is the classic collector's halide: calcium fluoride that grows as cubes, octahedra and stepped combinations, often with colour zoning that shows best in daylight.
Fujian's fluorite-quartz veins have supplied collectors for two decades; the province is the source of most of the green and purple Chinese fluorite on the market.
