About this specimen

Where the calcite stops, the fluorite shows its colour: pale lilac through the body of each cube, deepening to violet in bands that follow the faces and darken again at the corners. Three large cubes step past one another across the front, their edges finely ribbed rather than knife-sharp, and a group of small white calcite rhombs mixed with clear bladed crystals fills the notch between them above a dark green matrix.

Zoning like this is a growth diary. Fluorite takes up rare-earth traces and lattice defects unevenly as the feeding fluid changes, so each violet band records one shift in chemistry or temperature while the paler zones between them mark quieter growth. Yaogangxian in Hunan produces this soft lilac-violet from its tin and tungsten veins, with calcite arriving late in the pocket, as it has here.

The plate runs 4.8 × 4.3 × 3.6 cm and 100 g, bright and undamaged across the fluorite faces that front it. Photographs were made from the specimen itself — no stand-in images.

How is it packed and shipped?

Orders ship worldwide with fully insured, tracked delivery, carefully packed to protect fragile crystals. A display base is included.

Can I return it?

Yes — there is a 14-day return window.
