About this specimen
Large plum-red octahedral fluorite crystals sit among golden mica, pale siderite and quartz from Inner Mongolia. Sharp triangular faces meet in bold geometric forms, while small yellow-green mineral plates fill the spaces between them. Clear quartz points appear around the edges and add a finer texture to the tall association. The reverse view shows the fluorite crystals continuing through the center rather than forming a single surface group. Dimensions: 4.6 × 3.2 × 7.5 cm / 46 × 32 × 75 mm / 1.81 × 1.26 × 2.95 inch. Estimated weight: 115 g / 4.06 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
