A large, translucent grey-white calcite crystal, twinned into a heart-shaped outline, with fine pencil-like lines etched across its faces known as sketch pattern, on a base of smaller calcite crystals with orange staining. The crystal is complete.
Hubei sketch calcite at 227 g; a distinctive surface pattern on a classic Daye-district calcite form.
Size 10.6 × 8 × 5.1 cm / 4.17 × 3.15 × 2.01 in; weight 227 g / 8 oz. Cabinet specimen, makes a strong centrepiece on a shelf or in a display case.
