About this specimen
Transparent-looking fluorite crystals with purple-blue cores climb a tall quartz matrix from Fujian. Several modified cubes line one side of the narrow specimen, showing pale outer zones around concentrated violet centers. Clear quartz points and a dark sparkling host fill the spaces between them. The reverse view reveals additional fluorite along the elongated profile and emphasizes the contrast between color zoning and the nearly colorless crystal edges. Dimensions: 3.3 × 1.7 × 7.4 cm / 33 × 17 × 74 mm / 1.30 × 0.67 × 2.91 inch. Estimated weight: 43 g / 1.52 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
