이 표본에 대하여
카키색과 올리브그린 날 모양 결정이 이 구이저우 표본의 전면에 걸쳐 서로 맞물려 있습니다. 하나하나가 렌즈 모양으로 살짝 휘었으며, 떨어진 낙엽처럼 빽빽하게 쌓여 있습니다. 그 사이로 얇은 흰색 백운석 날 결정이 빛을 받아 초록을 갈라놓습니다. 전체 표면은 밝은 유리질이 아니라 왁스처럼 낮은 광택을 지니며, 매력은 그 얽힘의 밀도와 거의 군용을 연상시키는 독특한 색에 있습니다.
능철석은 FeCO3, 즉 철 탄산염으로 대개는 따뜻한 초콜릿 갈색으로 만나게 됩니다. 이 날 결정들이 띠는 초록빛 기운이야말로 흔한 능면체 결정과 이 표본을 구별해 주는 지점입니다. 능철석은 모스 경도 3.5~4.5, 옆의 백운석(CaMg(CO3)2)은 3.5~4이므로 둘 다 산에 닿으면 거품을 내며 부식되는 무른 탄산염입니다. 세척은 마른 붓으로만 하고 그보다 강한 것은 쓰지 마십시오.
