About this specimen
A plate of black manganese oxide (psilomelane-type) with dark green botryoidal malachite balls clustered over the upper half. The green-on-black contrast is strong.
Congolese malachite with manganese oxide at 285 g; a small cabinet piece with two Katanga minerals. Avoid dust.
