About this specimen
Clear apophyllite crystals intergrow with pale chalcedony on an Indian miniature. Several pointed transparent prisms rise at crossing angles, showing glassy faces, internal veils, and soft green-gray inclusions near the base. Rounded colorless chalcedony supports the lower contacts and gives the cluster a clouded foundation. Two views reveal the open crystal geometry, sharp terminations, and changing transparency around the compact three-dimensional group. Dimensions: 2.5 × 2.5 cm / 25 × 25 mm / 0.98 × 0.98 inch. Estimated weight: 6 g / 0.21 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
