About this specimen
At the heart of this Brazilian quartz sphere is a single bold shape: a layered phantom in fine white and silver dust, folded into a chevron like the roofline of a mountain. Viewed straight on it looks almost architectural, a crisp silver peak suspended in clear quartz.
Shine a torch at an angle and a second feature appears, a scatter of fine blue needles streaking across one side. In plain daylight the sphere is clear enough to magnify the palm beneath it. It is evenly polished, and its compact size makes it easy to turn in the hand to find each layer.
