About this specimen
A distinctive ink-stain phantom fluorite from Yaogangxian, Hunan. Unlike a neat framed phantom, it is not a clean, complete ring. During pauses in growth, fluid rich in organic or iron-manganese material seeped in along the fluorite's cleavage and left clusters of marks like purple ink spreading out, as if pale purple paint was splashed into clear ice. About a 5 cm display-box size; ships in its box.
