About this specimen
Three Xuebaoding classics share one specimen here: a ball of silvery muscovite rosettes, a crest of glassy pale-blue aquamarine, and — riding at the very top — a honey-amber scheelite crystal that catches light like a drop of syrup. Combination pieces are how this famous Sichuan locality shows off, and this one carries its trio with unusual balance.
The aquamarine is the connoisseur’s detail: its surfaces bear the fine dissolution texture Xuebaoding is known for, etched by late hydrothermal fluids into a satiny, sculpted finish rather than simple smooth prisms. Against it the mica reads pearl-white to sage, each rosette built from dozens of paper-thin blades.
The specimen measures 9.0 × 7.8 × 8.9 cm and weighs 365 g; it is natural and untreated, and mounts on the pin-and-acrylic stand shown in the photographs — which, as always, picture the exact piece you will receive.
