About this specimen
Large brown vesuvianite crystals intergrow into a compact group from Handan, Hebei. Broad glassy faces show warm chestnut color with darker centers, while angular terminations create a stepped outline across the top. The reverse view reveals additional adjoining crystals and several naturally textured areas between the smoother faces. With little visible matrix, the piece is defined by the substantial crystal forms and their translucent-looking amber-brown edges.
