About this specimen
Broad pale calcite faces overlap above a thin, irregular lower edge. One upper form rises slightly higher than its neighbor, while a faint gray band separates parts of the layered-looking structure. The surface is softly translucent-looking and carries fine texture near the bottom. A second angle reveals the offset between the larger faces and the shallow thickness of the piece, making the stacked arrangement its clearest visible feature.
