About this specimen
Broad white calcite blades overlap above a dark host matrix, creating a low, layered specimen from Fujian, China.
Wide pale crystals spread across a horizontal piece, with thinner stepped rims and softly translucent edges. Tilting the specimen reveals the depth of the overlapping blades, while the reverse exposes a contrasting dark host-rock base. The supplier likens its layered form to a sandwich cookie and records Fujian as the locality. Four complete views from the original video show the front, inclined side, reverse and opposite side of this exact piece. Calcite is the supplier identification; the matrix is left unnamed because its composition is not recorded. Irregular crystal edges remain visible in the video.
